    KUPA in Brief

    In 2006, Kathmandu University Professors’ Association (KUPA) was officially registered as a sister organization of Nepal University Teachers Association (NUTA), which is a national body formed under the Government Act, comprising thousands of university teachers throughout the country. KUPA follows rules, regulation and election processes as per the NUTA guidelines. The main mission of KUPA’s establishment was to make the organization a common platform of significance and excellence that achieves the professional objectives and fulfills social responsibilities. KUPA is on its mission: “The knowledge and its propagation is the very basis of the development of society which requires open and liberated academic community interacting and flourishing in the environment of truth, transparency, equality and justice”. KUPA had its 2nd general meeting in 2010 and extending its units in different campuses affiliated to KU.
